Why you should enter the competition?
Here is a chance to enter a national competition using the coursework you have produced for your Design and Technology examinations.
Two awards valued at £1000 are offered, one for best product and one for best designer. The prize will be split 50:50 between the student and the student’s school
All 20 shortlisted candidates will receive a prize of £20.
Who can enter the competition?
The competition is open for all students aged 16 – 18 years
How to enter the competition?
Fill in the entry form and attach a photograph of your project along with 6 of your best design folder pages.These should show your thought processes and the details of your final idea.They can take the form of A3 originals or A3 colour photocopies.Please fold your drawings once onlyLast date for entries: 20th May 2010
What are the Judges looking for?
Innovation, sound thought processes, good design and the potential for commercial development.
The judges will select a list of finalists in early June.
Finalists will be notified by post and will be posted on this website by 10th June.
The finalists will then be asked to bring their project to a London venue and set up an exhibition at the end of June. The judges will want to interview you and hear about your work. The prizes will be awarded at the end of the day. Parents and teachers are welcome.
